The shoe - 5000 years on the way

People wear shoes to protect their feet from the cold and rough surfaces. The special exhibition "The Shoe" in the Museum of Prehistory(n) Zug shows how they did this from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. The exhibition tells the story(s) of shoes through the ages, from the first human foot protection to the Roman military sandal to the noble boots of the Middle Ages. Shoe finds from the canton of Zug, from the rest of Switzerland and abroad are presented. In addition to a look back at past eras, the exhibition also shows the modern variety of footwear.
The public can not only look at shoes, but try them out for themselves on the catwalk. How about in Stone Age bast moccasins, nailed sandals or medieval triplets?
